It’s only bad when they do them. If they don’t do them, that’s bad. Heads I win, tails you loose.

Wow, that was 8 months ago? I’m going to miss her snarky comments being featured as White House response in any article.

I didn’t get it as a kid on first viewing, but, after getting into the actual workforce, I realized Tom’s job actually made total sense and did have a reason for existing, he was just too nervous to properly explain himself to the Bobs. Making engineers interface directly with all the company’s customers for every step of the process is really inefficient and distracts them from their actual job.

That is actually a very intelligent movie. It took me forever to notice the square peg in a round hole sculpture in front of Initech.

brain-dead marketing killed this film. They relentlessly pushed the “from the CREATOR OF BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD!!!! ” angle, and apparently they were caught off guard that people would have gone in expecting low-brow slapstick.

The first time I saw this, it was like a documentary. I ended up in a job that actually had a time consuming inefficient task called a TPS repor t.

I work for an architecture and engineering firm. I can say with some confidence that most engineers shouldn’t be interfacing with clients/customers. If the client-side representative is also an engineer, then everything is usually fine. Otherwise, we have certain people who are responsible for acting as the interpreter between the engineer and the client.
